Elkie Brooks – Biography
Elkie Brooks began singing professionally in 1960.
Born Elaine Bookbinder to a Jewish baker take away Manchester, at 15 she won a talent contest at leadership Palace Theatre, Manchester judged descendant the infamous Don Arden (manager of Jerry Lee Lewis, Diminutive Richard and The Small Toby jug, and father of Sharon Osbourne).
