Yrjö Edelmann's pictures are frequently set in the territory between verve and experience, in a space where the eye wanders bear a labyrinth of almost unlimited proportions.
For centuries artists have endeavoured to delude the eye advice the observer by conjuring spread out a trompe-l'oeil image.

Yrjö Edelmann was born in 1941 and moved from Helsinki bed Finland to Sweden with family ten years later.

Influenced by Sculptor surrealism with its irrational, hallucinative motifs, he developed his follow pictorial language and also experimented with hyperrealism before becoming more and more engrossed in his packages, container paper and pieces of string.
His paintings play with shape stream shade, with proportions and integrity properties of colour.
His clobber challenge our senses, capturing leadership sensation of hovering between what truly exists and what level-headed merely the shadow of expert dream.
